In the age of AI, I am an anachronism, an outdated model.

0:06.7

I actually wrote eight books, the old-fashioned way.

0:10.5

That said, me and my team, we experiment with AI.

0:14.6

It's a quite interesting tool.

0:16.3

But it can't do a lot of what you think it can do.

0:25.8

It has no memory. If you start throwing tens of thousands, if not a hundred thousand, or in the case of very large corporations, millions of

0:33.0

words at AI, it has no persistent memory.

thought for me about AI. So where are we on AI? And ultimately, from a trend-falling perspective,

1:36.0

doesn't matter. Are we in a bubble? It sure looks like one to me, because if the stuff

1:42.7

that's being promoted can't do what you want it to do and the human mind

1:49.9

can imagine now with the possibility of AI, we can imagine all the things it can't do that we want

1:58.0

it to do. I don't know. It doesn't seem like that we're close to, quote, real

2:02.2

artificial intelligence anytime soon. But again, is it a bubble? How the hell do I know?

2:08.1
