This was originally set to be a simple 10 Minute Talk about how diopters work, but a quick call down to the engineering team for their approval, followed by a very complicated explanation over the phone about how diopters actually work, made us realize it requires a full length episode for sure. 0:34.4	originally going to be a 10 minute talk about diopters on your rifle scope Mark and
0:38.5	I were just going to stand across from each other and say here's how you use a
0:42.3	diopter here's what it does
0:43.3	yeah just breeze right through it we threw one question out just thought we
0:46.9	give a courtesy call down to the engineers who said oh hey put us on with the
0:50.8	optical engineer yeah all, all right.
0:52.9	We want to make them feel good.
0:53.8	Right, exactly, feel part of this.
0:56.0	So anyways, we kind of asked a question, you know,
0:58.8	oh, Diopter just focuses your eye to the radical.
1:02.2	It's really easy, right?
1:03.1	Doesn't you really do anything else, right?
1:04.9	Well, then Christian proceeded to list off
1:08.6	all of the many ways that the optical system all ties together
1:12.2	and how the diopter is part of that.
1:14.6	Somehow, digital cameras in the second focal plane and sensors in your eye and parallel
1:19.3	rays came in and we thought, okay, we just got to bring him on.
