Hi friends, it's Annie Grace and I am the author of this naked mind and I am answering readers

questions and today I have a question from Amy and Amy asks, Annie, do you think you need to figure

0:40.4

out where the addiction came from inside yourself before you can get better? In other words,

0:45.0

all the stuff that made us want to drink to numb, does it all have to be revisited or can we just

0:51.2

pick up and move on? And I think it's a really good and profound question and the answer is probably

0:56.7

not the same for Amy, you're here and I'm answering your question. Yay! The answer is probably not the

drink is really high both in the situations where we're abstaining but making ourselves miserable

1:51.7

in in the situations where we're drinking and making bad decisions and making ourselves miserable

1:56.8

our self-value plummets and at that point in time I think a lot of drinking can become punishment in

2:06.3

a way and we don't think of it as punishment but that seventh eighth beer when you know you're going

2:10.5

to get sick anyway, you know doing it and just saying like what the heck, you know those things

2:16.6

are because you don't feel worthwhile and so if there's things in your life that have led you to

2:22.2

not feel worthwhile, I think they need to be addressed. The good news is that I think that you can
