Hi, this is Josh Marshall, and this is the Josh Marshall podcast. We are back for another,

it's not a quarantine edition of the podcast.

I mean, we're not in quarantine, but we're all still remote,

you know, working remotely.

We haven't been in our in our office and our little podcast studio

in our office in New York City for what is it I guess it's

like five months five months I think no

exactly yeah March 11th so yeah almost exactly It's hard to believe I miss it.

Yeah, I mean it's it's so strange.

I mean and and we're lucky at TPM since not only do we do a kind of work that can be done remotely that can be done

from home but because we have always had this workplace that is that is in two

cities or for you know for almost 15 years

had a workplace that is in two cities we already do a lot of I mean now it's this

program slack that probably many of you are familiar with in the

past it was Skype and in the distant distant past it was actually AOL Instant

Messenger but the point is is since we're already

used to doing a kind of remote thing,

especially because our executive editor

is based in our DC office, that's the person who who runs

the editorial team on a daily basis that we already have a lot of muscle memory

for doing our work with people who are not physically located with us.

And that I think has played a big role in already having a lot of the stuff that you kind of need to work remotely.
