Hello and welcome to the Bikes for Death podcast. My name is Patrick and I'm your host.

This is a show that talks about bike packing, adventuring, and the cool people who participate.

And first off, let me just say that I have a cold in June in Texas and it's 100 degrees outside.

I'm not sure how that's possible, but here we are. So if I sound a little stuffy, then that's why. But today's

guest is Jan Bennett, who I'm not sure how well known she is, like across the globe or

whatnot, but in Texas, I feel like she's really well known. She's just a wealth of information whenever it comes

to bike packing, whether it's like routes or just anything, like what to eat and how to pack

your bike and what gear you should use and why you should use it and all that stuff. And that's an area

that I'm not as knowledgeable in.

I'm the kind of person that relies on people like her

to kind of do the product testing and be like,

hey, this is what you should use.

And then I read what she says and I'm like,

yeah, that sounds pretty good.

I'll do that.

So I definitely appreciate her and I'm grateful for the

opportunity to get all of her little, maybe not all of them. She has a lot more than what we covered

on the show, but I'm excited that we were able to kind of scratch the surface of some of the things

that she has floating around in her brain and putting that out there for for everybody but on

on top of all the information that she has and the experiences that she has I truly

appreciate the way that she's living her life we'll talk more about it but she's

made conscious efforts and decisions to focus her life on the things that really
