You know, it's very natural to ask questions after tragedy hits, there's nothing wrong

with that.

And we have to be careful, though, to not put God on trial.

For sure.

To accuse God of wrongdoing when something happens, I like what John Piper, he gave some

keen insight on how to respond to tragedy, and he said, well, how did Jesus respond to

tragedy?

And in Luke 13 verses 4 through 5, it says, or those 18 who died when the Tower of

Solomon fell on them, do you think they were more guilty than all the others living

in Jerusalem?

I tell you no.

But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

So it's not the fact that when somebody dies that there are worse than us, Piper brings

out.

But rather, it's a time to pause to examine your own life, but by God's grace, you could

have been in that same spot, that same position, and in that same tragedy, right?

It rains on the chest and the unjust alike.

When tragedy hits, it is safe to do a few different things, right?

There needs to be a bigger picture.

First of all, this is not our home.

And tragedy reminds us of that, because our new home is not going to have any tragedy

for the believer.
