podcast. This is Caleb. As spring is in full swing, we're quickly approaching the peak

of kayaking season. And I really didn't mean for that to rhyme as much as it did, but here we are.

And for those of you who are in the Western United States, we'll see how good the kayaking season

is this year because of the lack of snow from winter.

But wherever you're listening from, hopefully today's episode will get you excited to get out on the river again and to enjoy the water and enjoy nature.

And even if kayaking isn't your thing, even if paddling isn't your thing,

Today's revisited episode is Mason interviewing Ben Morton and the first descent kayaking in the Sanam section of

the Curriechu River in the remote wilderness of eastern Bhutan. Please forgive my pronunciation there.

Ben grew up around paddling in local rivers and and over the years, he's had the opportunity

to work alongside numerous paddle sports instructors and coaches at various paddling schools,

outfitters, and colleges throughout the U.S. and abroad. I hope you enjoy the episode. Here's Mason.

Well, you know, Mason, I grew up in rural Virginia, so

a really small county, Orange Virginia, which is kind of tucked right up against the Blue Ridge Mountains.

And so it's really beautiful. I really wasn't into adventure sports,

but more traditional sport.
