I am here with Tracy Moody who is a contributor to friendly atheist and the co-moder

of the friendly atheist Facebook page and the reason I really wanted to talk to her is because

earlier this month ARC encounter opened and arc encounter

is Answers in Genesis and Ken Ham's giant Noah's Arc replica.

It costs like a hundred million dollars.

They're getting a huge tax break, about $18 million.

They're eligible for $18 million worth of tax breaks

from the state of Kentucky for this thing.

And she was there on opening day and she got to go inside this arc and she was there for the protest

ahead of the arc and I wanted to talk to her and get a sense of what was going on there, what she thought about what happened inside, what she saw inside, and what she thinks now that it's been a few weeks and she's been there.

So tell me about what happened the opening day, because the first thing to my understanding is there was a protest held by atheists outside the arc.

Well, months before it actually opened my boss, Hemet, you, said, Tracy, you should go to this thing.

And I was like, really like, oh, God, I really don't want to.

Why did I tell Hemet I was on my way up there?

So going to the

arc was something that we'd already planned and then the protest kind of

later developed and who's running the protest? The tri-state free thinkers.

Okay so atheist group that's established in the area, they're doing this protest.

And I think one of the criticisms that you might hear from Christian websites, ministries,

what have you, is that what they have a right to be here?
