| 1:10.0 | So this teaching is so obvious, |

| 1:21.2 | whatever we frequently think about and ponder upon becomes the inclination of our minds. |
| 1:25.0 | It seems so straightforward. |
| 1:30.0 | Yet we often forget about this in the busyness of our lives and in the seduction of our own personal stories. |
| 1:40.0 | We forget that our minds with everything we do and everything we think, |
| 1:45.0 | that our minds are in the process of being trained one way or another. |
| 1:50.0 | And it's for this reason that right thought, |
| 1:54.0 | you know, the second step of the eightfold path. |
| 1:58.0 | Sometimes it's called right thought or right intention or right motivation. |
| 2:02.0 | It's for this reason that it plays such a critical role in our |
| 2:08.1 | unfolding spiritual journey. And the Buddha is very explicit about what constituted right thought or right motivation. |
| 2:20.0 | He said it's those motivations of love and kindness, |
| 2:26.0 | of renunciation, of compassion. |
