And today we are going to be in section 88 of the Doctrine and Covenants.

This revelation is going to be received at the end of 1832, December 27th and 28th, and

then also on a third day, January 3rd.

So this takes place over the course of about three days in the company of about nine individuals.

Essentially, we've got Joseph and Sydney and some of the other leaders of the church.

In a three day conference, Joseph Smith has just turned 27.

He's 27 years old and he's about to show us the God of this universe in a way that no

one else has ever shown.

To me, one of the greatest evidences that Joseph Smith was a prophet is there is no way

you could come up with section 88 on your own.

This is as grandiose as it comes.

Yeah.

In the beginning of section 88, we read this verse, verse 3, I send upon you another

comforter, even upon you, my friends, that it may abide in your hearts, even the Holy

Spirit of promise, which other comforter is the same that I promised unto my disciples

as is recorded in the testimony of John.
