Welcome to Talking Scripture, I'm Mike.

And I'm Bryce.

And today we're going to be in section 84 of the Doctrine and Covenants.

It's a big section just to give you a little bit of background.

The last section they were in Missouri and Joseph's going to travel back up to Ohio.

But they're going to be way laid because on the way back, Bishop Newell K. Whitney breaks

his leg.

There's a coach accident and so they end up staying sometime in Greenville, Indiana until

the Bishop could travel.

And so after staying at this end for a month, Joseph is actually poisoned one night.

But through a pre-sublesing recovers and over time, Bishop Whitney is ready to go and

to come back to Ohio.

And so they arrive in Kirtland in late June of 1832.

And so to give you an idea of how long they were gone, Joseph was gone from his family for

about three months at this time.

So this revelation is going to come in the fall in September of 1832.

And in March of 1832, Joseph and Sidney are brutally assaulted and mobbed, horrible
