and the two of them have teamed up on a project they're calling the Wings of Survival,

and they are planning an epic bike touring trip from northern Alaska down to southern

Argentina I guess Ushuayas so anyway that's coming up but in preparation for that they've already

biked all the way across Canada done a lot of amazing exploits and they're doing this for a very

special cause so I'm excited to find

thanks so much both of you are our adventurers and athletes of your own right prior to taking on

this project so we probably should find out the backstory. Lianna,

why don't we start with you? Sure. Yeah, I'm born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, was a track

and field athlete for Canada. I competed in the women's pole vault internationally and then

became Canada's first female decathlete. Yeah, shortly after that, I had my daughter.

I have an eight-year-old daughter, and I kind of took to endurance sports

so I could balance my mom life, my training life, pushing the stroller or letting her sleep

and being on the bike.

And I started exploring multi-events, but in the endurance side so swim bike run triathlons I was

inspired to do iron mants because I loved the the mental push I really like pushing my body to
