Michael, thank you so much for joining us today on underserved. Thank you, Andrew. It's great to be here.

So way back when, like, how did you first become interested in technology?

Well, the thing is, actually, I wasn't really a technologist at the beginning.

And in fact, I don't really fit maybe the profile of the kind of tinkered in the garage with computers from childhood.

I was an outrageous science fiction geek, so I loved the idea of technology. But, you know,

for me it was very conceptual. I started out reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

That is great stuff, and I enjoyed that in college, too. I think of it more as comedy than science

fiction, but, you know, I loved Arthur C. Clark and Isaac Asimov and many of the other writers at

that time who were writing about World's Unknown and how to get there, the technologies that would

bring us there, all that kind of stuff.

I really felt that by the time we reached the age we're in today, we would just be living in

orbit and, you know, going to other planets and all this cool stuff would be completely real for us.

Flying cars all night.

You know, it's funny that you mentioned flying cars because my older son, Orson, for him, that is the

defining criterion for whether you're in the future. Flying cars, future. No flying cars, not future.
