Hi friends. Welcome to the Wabi-Sabi podcast. This is episode number one one zero. We're officially at

0:08.1

110. Here we go. Thank you for letting me take my break last week, my hands on my heart. I'm very

0:16.5

grateful. I needed the rejuvenation and the recharge. Sometimes planning events, as you guys know,

0:24.6

are, it's just some of the most strenuous work on the mind and the body. And there is pre-pro

0:31.9

preparation, production, organization, invites, set up, tear down, logistics.

0:39.9

And then afterwards, events used to be pretty easy back in the day, but now your phone

0:46.2

explodes during the event and you have to get back to everybody the next day.

pandemic or maybe even just 10 years ago when you were still in school

1:29.6

getting your MBA or your degree, your bachelor's degree, et cetera, you really have come a long way.

1:36.3

And those two months in preparation for two hours, people can really tell the difference between

1:43.6

professionals who prepare for their best

1:46.7

work. So thank you for the time. I also didn't know if you guys noticed, but I cut the music out of the

1:52.7

podcast because I felt like it was really unnecessary and I was actually bleeding out of pocket

1:57.6

for an audio mixer to do that. And I can simply learn how to do it myself,

2:03.0

or I thought, why not just cut it out clean altogether? There are a lot of changes that have

2:10.0

happened for all of us over the past few weeks. I think I have learned since going back to New York and then working on my bi-coastal move right now,

2:21.1

which is repacking in L.A. and going back to New York, this has brought up a lot of thoughts for me,
