Today's episode is the simple and powerful truth about marriage.

I have a funny story to share with you to begin with.

My almost eight-year-old daughter, Macy, and I took my husband's car a couple of weeks

ago to take her to gymnastics.

And one of the things that you need to know about my husband is that he helps out so much

around the house.

He helps keep things in order and clean and he's a great dad and a great husband, but he

keeps kind of a messy car.

So Macy got into the back seat of my husband's car and she's like, Mom, I can't even put

my feet on the floor because there's so many water bottles and coat cans back here

on the floor.

And I laughed and said, I know, you know what, honey, your dad keeps his car kind of messy.

And he did that even when we were dating, but I still chose to marry him because he has

so many other good qualities.

And having a messy car is really not that big of a deal.

And I thought I was going to teach her this profound lesson about choosing the right spouse

and she said, oh no, I know, Mom, he's definitely the right one.

You definitely picked the right one because he's so nice and he's so hardworking and she
