Today we'll be telling the story of St. Enda of Arran, whose feast is celebrated on March 21st.

St. Enda was an Irish saint that lived in the 5th century and is considered to be the patriarch

of Irish monasticism.

Enda was converted by his sister and decided to become a monk.

He was given land in the Arran Islands by his brother-in-law, who was the king of Munster.

St. Enda and his monks lived very simple lives of work, prayer, fasting, and Bible study.
