Welcome, everyone to another episode of the DCL duo podcast. And tonight, Sam and I are super excited to welcome Seth Kaberski to the show. Seth is the co-author of the unofficial guide to Disneyland.

book. Wow. I don't get called a celebrity often. Well, we're pretty excited to

have you on set. So you said you're in Orlando. So really, really interesting. I want to understand

how you got roped into writing a guide about Disneyland all the way from Orlando. But why don't we

start with just what's your general Disney background?

Sure. Well, I will confess right up front, I have never worked for the Disney company,

but I have been low-key, maybe high-key obsessed with Disney since I was a little kid.

I actually recently wrote a little blog post about my Disney history

and dug up some pictures from when I was about four years old

on my first trip to Walt Disney World.

I grew up in New Jersey, and we're a middle-class family.

So a trip, a vacation to Disney World was a really big deal back in the, you know, mid-late 70s, early 80s. So about once every four years got to take a trip with my family down to Disney World. And that first trip kind of barely remember those first couple trips in the late 70s before Epcot was open,

but I definitely remember, you know, visiting Epcot in those first year or so before

horizons and Living Seas were even open and just being amazed by stuff like the original

journey into imagination. And then by the time I got into high school and they were building Disney's MGM studios,

I was a theater kid and kind of the way that theme parks mixed theater and film and stagecraft and magic and all these all these different
