All right, welcome to today's episode, or this week's episode.

We're going to be talking about two very different but similar things that a lot of people in the church confuse.

And that's going to be about career versus calling.

And so we're just going to first start off with defining each of them.

What is a career and what is a calling?

And then we'll go ahead and talk about

the two differences and just details within each. Yeah, I mean, I think the easiest way that I,

at least for me, the way that I think about it is a career is like our job, our earthly job, and our calling is our heavenly job.

And I think there's an important distinction between them.

The biggest one is that our heavenly jobs are forever, right?

And I think that this is part of the problem for people

is if you don't have a robust paradigm of what eternity, like if your paradigm is like, we're going to,

we're going to go to heaven, sit on cloud, and have an eternal drug trip or something like that,

then, you know, like, well, what is my call? My calling is just to enjoy, you know, God or something like that.

But I don't think that's, I don't think that's a good biblical paradigm.

I do think that the Bible strongly implies that we will have actual jobs in the age to come,

that there's work to be done.

And in fact, I think the best way to understand this age is that this age is really a test

for our eternal job placement, something like that.
