This tip was shared with me many years ago and practicing it has made a lasting impact

on my life experiences.

In our day-to-day conversations, we will share one thought and inadvertently negate it

when we connect a second thought using the word but, for example, I love you, but you

need to clean your room or I hear what you're saying, but I think XYZ or this work looks

really good, but it still needs to be improved by fill in the blank.

You have likely experienced this a million times in your life.

The crazy thing is, it often doesn't matter how good or true the first phrase was.
