angle on that too. Kai likes to refer to herself as a recovering attorney, which I think is fantastic.

She has done ski instructing, whitewater kayaking,

and she was a sea kayaking tour guide around Big Sur, and her focus right now is on a sailing

So you started out as an attorney and then you felt the call of the wild to get out there and do all

these adventure sports and you've been transitioning into a new lifestyle based around that. How does

that work? When I was 19, my sweetie and I at the time bought a sailboat to live on because we couldn't afford rent.

And we used to take that boat and sail all around the bay and the rivers and the creeks.

And standing on that boat, the wind blowing in my hair and feeling the beads of the water against my skin,

I felt completely alive, completely in tune with my surroundings.

And after that, I went to law school.
