throwing this one back to four years ago when we talked to Caitlin Giddings about the reality of getting paid to do adventure sports.

Caitlin was a bike tour instructor and guide, and she fell in love with bike touring,

thought, of course, let's make this career.

And the experience, well, in her words, became a nightmare.

And so we're going to talk about that.

I think a lot of us feel like, oh, you know, these adventures and these athletes just have it all

figured out.

It's endless happiness and nothing's ever hard.

It's just, you know, biking around or hiking or hiking or guiding and that's it.

But it could be one of the most stressful and feast or famine lines of work.

There's so much to it and making it happen is very difficult.

I'm not going to say it's not rewarding,

but the challenges are incredible. And so I know people who've had the best life ever doing,

guiding or adventures for a living. I've had others that, like, I will never do that again.

I want an office job, some security, some stability. So I just like to show both sides of this reality,

because it's not always what it seems, and a lot of us might feel we need to daydream about,

you know, how much greener the grass is on the other side. And that's not always the case,

as we know. So Caitlin's story was a great example of the reality of this.
