From the New Guinea Black Bass to the Marlin junkie who helped to pioneer game fish tactics, Rod Harrison is a man who has seen it all. I was thrilled

to have the opportunity to sit down with him for his first ever podcast and to learn

more about this special man. I don't know why my parents sent me to a conference school.

They weren't religious.

Which town did you?

Gold in New South Wales, down in Canberra.

And which country town were you brought up in?

A place called Captain's Flat, a little out-of-way village.

So anyway, first thing happened at Sker was dipping the pen in the ink wells. You know you had to

fill the ink wells that was one of a chores after school. So I'm naturally left handed.

So you when you're writing left-handed with an inkwell you're dragging the ink across the page and smudging. Right. So I'm writing away next minute for whack. Some pruned old pruned face Mother Theresa as there with a cane.

So eventually it changes your mind, you know, okay, I changed my mind and hands and ended up with the script of the I suppose my handwriting could have

been a gynecologist could have passed for it. It's pretty awkward nowadays so

then I hated school I hated the
