And another great day, another great week in this greatest nation on God's Green Earth, a great week for me because, well, we got our power back.

And electricity becomes a very precious thing when you're denied electricity because of that famous cyclone bomb that struck Seattle and other places and left us to sort of deal with

flashlights and candles and no computer services for several days. First world problems,

but problems that have been transcended.

And speaking of problems getting transcended, the Israeli cabinet is going to be voting on a

Lebanon ceasefire deal.

What does the deal provide?

And does it do anything about the hostages and about Hamas?

We will get to that in a moment.

Speaking of ceasefires, there is also breaking news.

The special counsel, Jack Smith, who was supposed to be prosecuting President Trump

both for his efforts to overturn the election of 2020, which, by the way, he did functionally four years later by running, initially he was running his same guy as running against Biden, but by beating Kamala Harris decisively in the most recent election. The special counsel, Jack Smith, announced

today he is dropping the election subversion case against President-elect Donald Trump,

seeking the case's dismissal and a court filing with the judge. Trump said he would fire Smith once he retook the office, shattering previous

norms around special counsel investigations. But what Smith is doing is following a norm,

which is the Justice Department has had a long rule that someone from the Justice Department can't bring cases against a sitting

president. Now, Trump isn't a sitting president, yes, but he is about to be. We're talking about

a couple of weeks, and President Trump takes over. He's just putting together his cabinet. And by the

way, the public

opinion seems to be positive about Trump's cabinet choices. I can only believe that's true

because they're not thinking about Matt Gates anymore and maybe hoping to wish away
