The power outage which has afflicted the Pacific Northwest and estimated more than

500,000 households victimized and hundreds of thousands of them still without power, including

mine. I know it's a first world problem. No, really it is is a first world problem because in the first world, we have things like electricity, and we depend on them. We depend on them most of all to get some sense of the world around us. And the world around us right now is popping with news as the Trump

cabinet takes shape. Some good news for President Trump and some disturbing news. We'll be speaking

to numerous people, a number of points of view about what that news means, and what is the

nature of the Trump mandate, the real nature of it. We'll be speaking with Peter Baker of the New York

Times on that, and Danielle Pletka of the American Enterprise Institute talking a little bit about the prospect

of recess appointments. Would that give a chance for Matt Gates to come back? He's not coming

back. He has actually confirmed the idea that Matt Gates is not going to return to Congress

or try to return to Congress. He'd already resigned.

I think he will be appearing soon on one of the conservative, and now it's not just one

conservative outlet on TV, it's several.
