Republican National

Convention tonight a moment that a lot of people have been waiting for J.D. Vance gives his

acceptance speech and for a lot of people be their first exposure to Senator Vance. By the way,

I just found something out about him. He was born not with the name James David Vance.

He was born with the name James Donald Vance. Is that fate again that he is now working so closely as the number one deputy the

number one potential replacement if that's ever needed for Donald John

Trump we will all find something out about that. There is a commentary on CNN. They just did a big new national poll. And for the first time, they are acknowledging or looking at the reality of a potential blowout for President Trump.

It would not be necessarily a close race.

John King at CNN saying that as things are going now,

if the election were held today,

it looks like Trump would get 330 electoral votes.

That's compared to the 306 electoral votes he got when he won

the election in 2016 against Hillary Clinton. But unlike that election between Trump and Hillary

Clinton, the sense of dread, the sense of horror, the sense of America spiraling out of control is overwhelming right now.

So it's appropriate that the Republicans in their convention tonight, they are stressing, they stress the first night, make America wealthy again.

Now they are stressing make America safe again. And the part of that is going to involve the field of foreign policy with concentration

on J.D. Vance's acceptance speech. But the Reuters poll begins with this declaration, which is pretty

amazing. It's a Reuters-Ipsos poll, a major poll that was taken before the response even to the shooting.

It's a two-day poll. Americans fear that the country is spiraling out of control

following an assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
