trial is adjourned for the weekend. He today heard testimony, as did everybody else from his daughter,

and basically the testimony from his daughter, from his ex-wife, from his former girlfriend,

who was also the widow of his brother, and so many other people all has the same point that Hunter Biden was a

pathetic extraordinarily self-destructive and horribly destructive a drug addict

and that is not a shock because he wrote a memoir about it and And in fact, some of the most shocking elements of the testimony so far

have been the tapes they played from his books on tape version of his memoir.

The outcome of the trial politically in terms of influencing public opinion, I don't really see as potentially high.

I mean, you look at Hunter Biden, and it should be very, very clear that he should have absolutely nothing to do with governance

or policy or anything like that. He should concentrate on getting his pathetic and ruined

life together. I mean, this is a guy who had a lot of advantages in life. And yes, he's also

a graduate of Yale Law School, which most people don't even realize. But while he is on trial in such grubby and horrible circumstances,

Pre's father, the President of the United States, is still traveling in France.

He went today to make another high-stakes speech.

It's a high-stakes speech because it directly echoes what Ronald Reagan did some 40 years ago.

40 years ago in 1984, President Reagan spoke at Pointe du Haq in France,

where Army Rangers, some 200 of them,

heroically scaled the cliffs in the first stage after the landing of moving forward

to throw back the Nazi tyranny. This is a part of what Joe Biden said earlier today.

We talk about democracy, American democracy. We often talk about the ideals of life,

liberty, pursuit of happiness. What we don't talk about is how hard it is. American democracy asks the hardest of things to believe that we're part of something

bigger than ourselves.

So democracy begins with each of us.
