And another great day in this greatest nation on God's Green Earth, a great day for the United States

and for our memory of what happened 80 years ago. That was one of the many, many times that the

United States of America, our country, saved the world. And yes, of course, we had crucial

partners on D-Day. We had British partners, Canadian partners, French partners, some free French forces who fought on D-Day as well.

And those people, and there was 170,000 of them, who risked their lives, many sacrificed their lives,

to basically repel tyranny, autocracy, and evil. And for people who don't believe

that Nazism represented a profound evil, about as purely distilled as evil ever has been in

history, well, some of those people have have been writing to me to give you a Nazi view of D-Day.

We will get to that.

There's also something else that marred what was a very beautiful and moving celebration.

Lloyd Austin, the Secretary of Defense, spoke passionately and well about the heroism

of the American military, which she represents having devoted his life to service to our country

as a member of our armed forces. President Biden also spoke well. And what marred the occasion was,

I mean, it's just, it's just so embarrassing. And it's not embarrassing for President Biden.

It's embarrassing to the people who are attacking President Biden, frankly,

which includes the Republican National Committee, which is currently co-led by the daughter-in-law,

Lara Trump, of President Trump. But here's the report on mediaite. And I've actually spent much too much of my time this morning

looking at the tape that is involved here. This has been called Chairgate. And the Mediaite reports,

an official Republican account posted a misleading clip featuring a deceptive edit to attack

President Joe Biden as he commemorated D-Day with the last surviving veterans of the attack.
