Victoria Peterson and Sam Davenport of the Spenardian which is a hyper-local publication that focuses on a neighborhood in Anchorage called Spenard.

Yeah, a pretty famous neighborhood I'd say one of the oldest ones that used to be its own town, but we're not going to get into the history because we already got into that in the podcast.

Yeah, it was a fun conversation.

Victoria works at the Peninsula Clarion out in Kenai and we've been wanting to sit down with them and since she lives out there now we were able to do it as she was back for Thanksgiving.

did something similar to you with crude where they create like a small publication

that tells the authentic

Alaskan story so I know we talked about that. Yeah I think it was a great

conversation I actually um let's see how do I put this I generally don't like interviewing young people because they don't have

anything really to offer. You can hang out with them and talk to them, but I don't think that their experience warrants media attention just yet.

I'm talking about generally, not like specifically.

Yeah, well, these girls aren't 14, 15, and 16.

Exactly, but sometimes 21-year-old, 22-year-olds can be real boring.

Yeah.

You know, and I don't think that Sam and Victoria are, which was pretty cool.

Yeah, I'm not even sure they're age.

They're in their 20s somewhere, right?
