Hi everybody, welcome to this edition of the Second

and Command podcast, The Chief Behind the chief. Today's guest is Tony Kapart and

Tony is the CEO and co-founder of contactually. And as many of you know, contactually is a relationship

marketing platform, a contact manager,

that helps professionals and companies generate more referrals and direct customers from their existing

network. It's currently used by tens of thousands of realtors, small business owners, freelancers, and actually our company uses contactually as well.

Before starting contactually, Tony worked as an investment analyst for grassroots business Fund and prior to that worked at

Microsoft as a program manager. Tony, glad to have you on the show today. Welcome to

the show. Hey, thanks for having me, appreciate it. Yeah, I'm really looking

forward to learning more about the role that you're playing and kind of how you got

there and any of the lessons that you can share for us as well so maybe give us a little

bit of background as to how you kind of ended up where you are today.

started my career in a little bit more

over a technical role as a product manager at Microsoft,

building and designing features an ad center and bing website that were competing head

to head with Google and then eventually found myself in DC moved here with my

girlfriend time now wife and wanted to start a

potential company and met with a few different founders or folks who I thought would be just kicking
