My name is Jefferson.

It's Jefferson Smith.

And so one of the things that would get forwarded to me by friends either teaching me something

or thinking they were teaching me something, they would send me the history of the state of Jefferson

because you know it has the same name.

And the state of Jefferson was a movement to create a new state

that would be made up of the southern portion of Oregon and the northern portion of California.

And there was a real movement around it.

And apparently what ended that movement was the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the

focus of international and national attention, not on whether or not there should be

an additional state on the western seaboard of the kind of the United States.

But if there should be World War II, it included the United States of America.

There is another movement with a different name to create a new reshuffling of the American states.

Now because we're at 50, nobody, there's people with a little nervous about getting to 51
