My entitled roommate makes me pay for Wi-Fi that I'm not even actively using.

After she gave me the wrong Wi-Fi information, which was actually the information for the guy

across the hallway, and when I confronted my roommate about it, she feigned ignorance,

and dismissed it as quickly as I brought it up, and I've never been more offended in my life.

Here's what happened. So first off, I want to say that this was a few years ago.

I met my roommate on Facebook, we'll call her Brandy, that's not her real name,

and I met her on the Facebook Marketplace section, which honestly was my first mistake.

I was struggling to find a place, and found this place that was close to my work,

and within my price range. Brandy had lived in the apartment for a couple of years already,

and was looking for someone to split the cost of the rent since it had gone up.

We seemed to hit it off initially, and after seeing the apartment in person,

I agreed to co-lease it with her, and split the cost of the utilities.

I'm going to be honest, I was 90% sure that this would be fine,

but that remaining 10% was a part of me saying that it's fine now,

but something is slightly off with her, and I really should have listened to that 10%.

Let me paint you a brief picture of Brandy. She came from a lower upper class family,

so she was relatively well off. She was somewhat down to earth,

but sometimes her ignorance and entitlement really showed through very clearly.

One example of her ignorance was when she once commented on the water in her boyfriend's apartment,

and how it always seemed to get hotter, faster than the hot water in our apartment.

For context, her boyfriend was on the first floor, and we were on the third floor of the building.

I kind of shrugged it off until she proceeded to say that it was because it took hot water
