My entitled mom is demanding that I quit my job and go back to grad school.

My mother is an extremely entitled mother, borderline care and activity if you know what I mean,

and she has struck once again. And this time she has some very extreme demands.

Her first demand is that I quit my job at Walmart. Her stance on this is because they treat

their workers bad and it's just too far. Both of these points are null and void in my eyes as

it's literally just 20 minutes away. And they treated me fine so far. I think her supposedly

making me do this is so I can go back to grad school for a certificate program. I want to stay

with Walmart as they are giving me an unofficial entry level position in my field. And this will allow

me to transfer into the corporate office as they have a robust department that is world renowned

and not just because they are a worldwide company. And that will be a great point on my resume,

I think. Transportation from A to B is not a problem as I have my driver's license and a car

I can use whenever I want. I need the money despite what my mother was wailing about whenever she says

you don't need the money. Besides I love working for the company as I have friends at my job that

make the day go by faster and make me smile unlike my entitled mother. Her second point is to

continue to push me to attend grad school in a certificate program. I am not against the idea

of going to grad school. I just want to work for a while to get the experience and hopefully

take advantage of an employer's benefit to pay for my grad school. When the full program gets

approved in a couple of years, my entitled mother's response was you should still apply as most

certificate programs become grad school programs. And it will only be a year or two on top of it.

I mentioned to her that I don't want to look at grad school right now. The reason for this is

because I have been in school for at least 16 years across three countries. I deserve a break from

school at least for a while in my eyes. And to boot my friends are not doing grad school right away
