Here's what happened. This happened a while ago but I still think about it from time to time.

arguing, she sat in the waiting area for her mom and continued to make snarky comments

The mom comes in and is slightly more stable but still insists that we crack open a new phone

and hand it over. I explained to her that our system wouldn't even allow that even if we could.

At this time for this store, this particular phone that they were looking to get a replacement for

had very strict rules about discounts and warranty issues all had to go through this particular

company itself. We couldn't write off a phone even if we wanted to. There was no actual way

to do it. After about an hour of arguing, I honestly just wanted them to leave. I tell the mom

that I'll credit her bill the entire $150 deductible if she will just make an insurance claim.

She then says something that absolutely blew my mind. She tells me to take $150 out of my own

paycheck and hand it to her now instead. I end up crediting the bill and telling her they have to
