Yeah, maybe that's where I'll begin.

I'd like to welcome you again to our Polykannon class and this is our second class. I want to just

do a quick review for where we are and and orient you a little bit about where we're going for today.

Yeah, so, so far, last week we offered some overview of this course and Kim shared a bit about the structure of Polycanon and to show you how the text are organized in the Polycannon collection.

And we also offered a way to engage with the text

and brought in and kind of a practice with the Damapata verses and how we could use it

contemplatively and meditatively with the text.

And so today we're going to move on by still staying in the bigger picture territory, we're going to share a little bit about

the history and transmission of the poly cannon text.

How it kind of arrived at where we are today

from a few thousand years ago. And so there's a history and transmission how it's preserved

over the course of the generations and centuries.

And then we'll offer also some way

to do some practical navigation.

So as I mentioned the last time, there are a lot of tools

that's been made available over the last decades also and there's a lot of skillful ways are tools that we can leverage in this

exploration of a party cannon. So we'll begin to offer some of this aspect as well.

And so get practical about it. And then we'll practice in yet another way with the Partican and Text today.
