Several years ago, when we first began the Enjoying the Journey broadcast, we started with my favorite book of the Bible.

I've adopted it really is my life's study on the book of Philippians. And the theme, of course, of that great book is the joy of the

Lord Jesus Christ. Truly, it is the Bible treaties on what it means to enjoy the journey. Now we're

thrilled to share this anniversary series with you again

in the hopes that God will use it in your life

to help you learn to enjoy the Lord Jesus Christ

at whatever stage you happen to be on on life's journey.

I trust that these studies from the Word of God today

will refresh your spirit and renew your strength

The Lord Jesus Christ spoke a great deal about the subject of joy to his disciples.

I believe with all of my heart that Christ designed life for his followers to be a joyful life.

There are so many people who are enduring life.

I want to suggest to you that Christ has designed it so that those who follow closely to him share in his joy.

He's designed life to be enjoyed, not endured.

As a matter of fact, when you read and study in the New Testament about the fruit of the spirit,

the things, the grace that the Spirit of God produces in us, there are nine characteristics.

The first is love, but the second is joy.

Oh, my friend, when you come to know Jesus Christ, when the Holy Spirit lives inside of you,

the natural, or should I say supernatural, things that are produced include his joy.
