Well, Rachel, we are just a few days following an election that I have in my 68 years,

never seen anything quite like that, And we're still in it.

And so as a listener, you may have more information about the process of what occurred than we have as we're doing this podcast. We want to acknowledge we're in Thursday after the election on Tuesday, and this will likely

So we will have more to say than what we have at the moment.

But what we want to do is to reflect as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ on one of the

most contentious, divisive, and some sense cruel processes, at least I've ever seen in the political realm.

And the implications for what it means to live faithfully in the context of being bound not to

the Republican or to the Democratic Party or any other earthly institution, but what it means to live out the calling that we have

as members of the kingdom of God.
