for this episode. All right, we're diving into Romans chapter 12 once again, and we're up to verse

number 20.

This passage actually goes along with the previous passage.

In verse 19 where Paul told us that we are not to take vengeance.

In fact, God says vengeance belongs to him and we discussed in yesterday's episode why that is true because

God is the only one capable of truly bringing about vengeance in a just and

equitable way that's his responsibility not ours and we are to trust him

with the hurts and offenses that we receive in life. Well this verse,

verse 20 goes right along with that and he's showing us a different way to behave.

He says to the contrary so instead of taking vengeance, if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink.

So wait just a moment. You mean instead of giving enemies a cold shoulder, instead of treating them with

anger and contempt, instead of getting people back, we are to do the very thing that's hardest for us to do.

We are to meet their needs.

We're to care for them and take care of them?

Well, that's exactly what the Apostle Paul is telling us.
