My walk today is going to happen during another hot, sticky day, the heat index later this afternoon.

expected to get well above 100 degrees, which is, I don't know how many days in a row now.

We had a walk earlier this week.

Ava and I took a walk.

And we've got what I would call pretty robust, hot weather muscles.

We both love summer.

We move 500 miles south from Maryland to South Carolina, knowing full well that the

summer's here, we're going to be hot

and sticky. At some point, probably in a few weeks, we'll start waving that white flag going,

okay, let's go, autumn. Come on, let's go. But even this heat wave this week has been a little more intense than what we're used to.

Anyhow, we were out one afternoon earlier this week.

I think we walked three miles.

I had my waters, carry my water with me, staying hydrated, was wearing the right clothing,

had a sun hat, the whole bit, sunscreen.

And we got back and we were drenched.

And just for kicks, just for kicks, I opened my weather app and said,

Hey, our three mile walk, heat index, 111 degrees.

So I know a lot of folks are feeling the heat right now

and looking for ways to continue walking,

continue keeping that fitness promise.
