And the Lakers wrapped up their preseason yesterday in Palm Springs with a 123 to 100 loss to the Phoenix Suns. That was quite a roller coaster of a game, as was the case for a lot of the preseason.

Mike, Lakers come out hot out of the gates, 7-0 after an AD kind of delayed rim run for a dunk,

timeout Phoenix.

Lakers go up, I think, 14 to 6, I think the score was at the first substitution.

So the starting lineup looks great once again.

Then the back half of the first quarter was pretty bad.

Then they start the second quarter, and it's LeBron, Hayes, Max Christie, Torian Prince, and DeAngelo Russell.

That group looks really, really good.

The closers look good, but Phoenix says Phoenix is going to do, especially when they have

Booker and Beal back as well, hit a couple of threes down the stretch, and they go on a

10-0 run to close the second quarter.

Lakers up four at the end of halftime.

I thought in the text

thread, Darius appropriately characterized the start of the third quarter. Like the first

couple minutes were pretty good, but there was definitely a foot off the gas. That's about it.
