Second letter of Paul to the Thessalonians chapter two.

Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him,

we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report,

or letter that's supposed to have come from us,

saying that the day of the Lord has already come.

Do not let anyone deceive you in any way.

For that day will not come until the rebellion occurs, and the man of lawlessness is revealed.

The man doomed to destruction.

He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshipped

so that he sets himself up in God's temple

proclaiming himself to be God. Don't you remember that when I was with you, I used to tell

you these things? Legendary football coach of the Miami Dolphin, Don Shula, was holding a press conference one day,

and he was asked the question about errors that are made during practice.

And here's what he said.

We never let an error go unchallenged.

Uncorrected errors multiply fast.

A reporter then asked him the following question.

He said, isn't there a benefit in overlooking a small flaw?

Shula shot back and said, what is a small flaw? What is a small flaw? What is a small flaw?

Now, you can think about this for a long, long time. Beyond today,

what is a small flaw? Every disaster starts small. Every explosion begins with a spark or a tiny gas leak.
