Hello and welcome to Bible stories. We are your hosts. We have your friend out. Hello, your sweet boy, Matt. That's me.

We're two ministers who love the stories of the Bible, and we want to tell you about them. And today we're taking a bit of a deviation.

We're recording this on November 5th, 2020. And hopefully if you're a little into the future and you're just stumbling upon this episode, and we say that things are a little challenging right now, you'd be like, oh, that's quaint, that's a distant memory, everything's cool when I'm listening to this.

But if you're listening in the now, there's a solid chance that

you might have felt amongst the, if you're in the world, the pandemic, if you're in the

United States, we're in a season of election, you might have felt a little anxiety. No matter

where you fall, this is an easy season to kind of accumulate some

worry. And no matter how cool as a cucumber you are or level-headed, you could put a ball

on top of your head and it wouldn't fall off. That's what that means, right? Yeah. We tested every day.

We've gone through a lot of bowling balls.

Also, I can't remember math now.

But no matter how level-headed you are, this is for many, for most, a difficult season.

So today, we're not really going to be looking at a story at all. Our good friend Todd has prepared for us some encouraging pieces of scripture.

Because no matter matter podcasts are great

you know reading devotions it's all great but what really ministers to us what really changes us

is the power of the holy spirit ministering through the word of god so today we're going to sit

back and enjoy maybe talk a little bit about some of Todd's favorite, I need to chill out, everything's going to be okay, scriptures.

Absolutely, Matt.

Yeah, so we just put a few scriptures together, and, hey, we may chat about a couple of them after, but, man, sometimes it's good, like you said, Matt, just to simply read over God's word and just kind of get it into us, right?

Just read over it, listen, and just trust what God's words have to say to us.

And so I thought, like you said, just, hey, let's just, let's pull some and let's read them.

Sound good? I love it. All right, here we go. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
