We are back with me Meg today to talk about gardening in different regions across the United States because I am here in San Diego. I have, maybe my challenges don't seem like they're as challenging as other

peoples but everyone has their own like little battles to deal with so here in

San Diego I have a weird spring I can't really complain about it because it's still pretty nice but it gets sometimes

like the hottest day of the year is actually right now which is really weird we'll

get like these Santanas all sudden it spikes to like in the mid 80s to 90s for a couple days in the middle of spring and then all my

Nebraska's bull. So it makes it very sad for us to go to Brasquez in the spring so we have to grow them over the fall into the

winter but you know it's a pretty minor battle there's other things for sure but I'd

love to hear about some of the things that you have to deal with where you are and

maybe you can let everyone know what your zone is and what area you're going in.

Yeah so I'm actually dealing with the exact same thing that you are like we are having just crazy heat wave here in the middle of spring.

It was like 89 degrees the other day and my brascas are also bolting.

Yeah, but I'm in zone 8A.

Formerly 7B was just kind of switched up, but 8A, yeah, here in North Carolina.

I'm in the southwest of Piedmont area in Charlotte, or sorry, not Piedmont, foothills, we're kind of in the

foothills. But we definitely have a lot of

challenges here in North Carolina. I would say that summer is definitely our

main challenge season and it's due to a lot of things. I mean we have heat, we have humidity, we have really rainy, rainy

summers here, so it's really... Oh that's interesting, yeah, we don't get that.

Yeah, the rain is just all the time and like it depends on the year like this year already has been just so rainy it feels like we're drowning

So I would say that our weather is pretty unpredictable as well and it just it goes

back and forth and it's just you never know what to what to expect but I definitely think that like the pests and the humidity is a huge

issue here. Yeah humidity is one that we don't have I mean it's kind of weird because we have like a very
