Hello and welcome to another encore episode of the Straight A nursing podcast.

For this encore episode, we're diving back into heart blocks because it is a little bit or

maybe a lot a bit trickier of an arrhythmia or type of arrhythmia to notice.

And with certain heart blocks, like the high degree heart blocks, it's really,

really important that you notice them very quickly because they can be emergent. I don't know

about you, but third degree heart block is really, really scary to me. I've never had a patient

go into third degree heart block. I've had first and second degree. And even that is a little bit

scary. So just knowing that I could identify it quickly if it happened and get the right people,

get the right interventions in place is very confidence boosting because, again, some of these heart

deteriorate very very quickly so let's revisit the essentials of heart blocks and a breakdown recognizing

them so it's easy for you to remember This is episode 101, and today we're talking about heart block.

Item number one, if you're sitting at your desk or, yeah, I think that's it.
