0:09.6

Let's talk about Encanto and also I want to talk about some parenting questions that some patrons

0:16.0

emailed at. What do you say, Rebecca? Well, I'm going to do the day.

Patron Ashley from Nakag, Duchess, Nakag, Duchess, Texas says, would you please watch Disney

0:30.7

Encanto and give us your thoughts from a psychology perspective. I saw this movie expecting it to

0:35.7

be something to pass the time with the kids, but instead ended up in tears through several parts

0:40.3

of the movie. This movie was so beautiful and validating and felt so spot on as someone who came

0:46.8

from generational trauma, going no contact with my parents for over two years and now finally

0:52.7

in therapy with them. Every day since I've seen it, I've been dying to hear your thoughts and know

1:42.8

be a terrible movie because Umberto Columbia himself reported to me that he he didn't really like it.

1:50.4

He thought it was fine. He didn't hate it, but he didn't it didn't really resonate with him like

1:55.5

Moana or insight out or other kinds of movies of this ilk. And so when I was watching it, I had

2:04.7

very low expectations. And I so over so I'll tell you the evolution of my sort of reaction to this

2:15.9

movie. I thought I was watching it. I enjoyed it. I thought it wasn't as bad as what Emberado was

2:21.6

painting it to be. And then at the end, but as I'm watching it, I'm kind of confused. And not

2:29.5

really picking up maybe I'm too stupid or something, but I wasn't really comprehending what the message
