When Dr. Denison heard about this, he suggested the great idea to release these as bonus episodes

of the Daily Article Podcast every day from Ash Wednesday to Easter.

Empowered Day 42. The Spirit teaches through us.

Earlier in Jesus' ministry, the authorities decided that they must deal with him.

They sent officers to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him, John 744.

The authorities were outraged and demanded to know why.

The officers answered, no one ever spoke like this man.

We see our Lord's profound wisdom on display during Tuesday of Holy Week.

The day began with Jesus debating the authorities at the temple, Matthew 21, 23 through 27.

He taught parables that exposed their hypocrisy, Matthew 21, 28, 2214.

They tried to trap him by asking if they should pay taxes to Caesar, but he defeated their

logic with the famous declaration, rendered to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and

to God the things that are gods.

Matthew 22, 21.

Then the Sadducees, who did not believe in an afterlife, tried to trick him by asking to whom a woman married seven times would be married in the afterlife, Matthew 22, 23 through 28.

Jesus defeated them by using Exodus 3.6 to prove the existence of an afterlife with God.
