I was so encouraged by Dr. Denison's book about the Holy Spirit called Empowered that I

asked to record its 47 chapters as daily readings from my church.

When Dr. Denison heard about this,

he suggested the great idea to release these as bonus episodes

of the Daily Article Podcast every day, from Ash Wednesday to Easter.

I hope that you will likewise be encouraged by the short, insightful, and empowering podcast.

Empowered, Day 14. The spirit feels as a person. When I was in elementary school,

I terrorized every adult unfortunate enough to be my teacher. I melted crayons into the hair

of my first grade teacher. My second grade teacher broke her paddle on me.

In the third grade, I used my Cub Scout pocket knife to poke holes in the school water

hoses.

In the fourth grade, I knocked eraser dust into the window air conditioner blanketing the

room.

I also locked a girl in the coat closet for lunch. In the fifth

grade, I perfected the stink bomb, using a match inside a plastic ballpoint pen. In the sixth

grade, I taught my fellow classmates how to throw our pencils so that they stuck in the ceiling

tiles point first.
