our motto which is that the best predictor of a child's well-being is a parent's

self-understanding. We are doing this in two separate places. I am in Illinois. Where are you,

sweetie? I'm in California. What do you do it in California? Well, we were on spring break here. Can you

hear me very well? Yeah. And our last night was Friday night, and one of my daughters got food poisoning and it was really bad.

So Todd and I did what parents call or what we call divide and conquer where he got, he flew home with two of my kids because one had to go back to college

and one has to go back to eighth grade.

And then I stayed here with my high schooler.

And she is finally this morning feeling better, but it's been a rough, rough road.

So I'm a little tired.

So instead of coming home last night, you're actually coming home tomorrow night.

So an extra 48 hours out in California.

Yeah.

And I, we just did a replay like a month ago and I try my best not to do that.

So I said to Kathy, let's just do it remotely and see what happens.

So that's what we're doing.

It'll probably be a little bit shorter of a podcast, but I'll tell you what we're going to talk about in a second. I got a text from a buddy in mine,

and I thought it was an important text, and I wanted to treat it with the respect that I think it

deserves regarding parenting our teenagers. So that's what we're going to talk about. But first,
