Summary

(Matthew 1:23) The story of the Bible is the story of God coming to man. When the curtain lifts in the Garden, the Creator is seeking fellowship with Adam and Eve, and they are running from Him. Some things never change. Emmanuel came to us because we could not, on our own, come to Him. (06290221205)  Join Scott Pauley's study through Scripture this year. God with us.

1:31.8

It's one of the names of Christ, Emmanuel, but it's not just the name of Christ.

1:37.0

It really is a revelation of the heart of God.

1:39.4

It's the message of the whole Bible.

1:40.9

From beginning to end, the desire of God has always been that his presence would

1:46.5

dwell with his people and that his people would live in his presence. Now, before we begin our

1:53.1

introduction to this study today, let me tell you how I came to this truth myself. Some time ago,

1:59.8

we did a study through the life of Joseph. I hope you've listened

2:02.9

to those studies, and I hope you've gotten a little book on the Lord was with Joseph. And in that

2:09.0

study, we found that in Genesis chapter 39, four times it said the Lord was with Joseph. The Lord

2:16.1

was with Joseph. The Lord was with him. The Lord was with him. The Lord was with him.
