Hey, theater people, Patrick here. So I'm just delighted to tell you that the first three episodes of our brand new podcast called Broadway Backstory are up.

For those of you who don't know, Broadway Backstory is a documentary style podcast that I'm making in partnership with the amazing people at Today Ticks.

Each episode finds out how a show developed from an idea to a full

Broadway production. We talk to everyone involved, actors, producers, writers, composers,

arrangers, designers, just everyone we can get our hands on. They share their stories with us

so that we can share them with you. The first two episodes tell the amazing true story of how Lynn Manuel Miranda's In The Heights

went from a college project to the groundbreaking Tony-winning Best Musical.

We talked to Lynn himself, director Tommy Cale, the show's producers, and several members

of the original Broadway cast, including Karen

Alivo and Mandy Gonzalez. I'm slightly obsessed with our third episode, which just went up this week.

It's all about last year's Tony winning musical Fun Home. We talked to Alison Bechtel,

the woman whose life the show is based on, and we talk to the history-making composing team of

Lisa Crone and Janine Tesori, as well as Oscar Eustace, the artistic director of the public

theater, and Beth Malone, Michael Cerveris, and Judy Cune, cast members from the original
