Today, I'm joined by the Powerhouse duo behind the incredible brands, Current

Elliot, and The Great. Emily and Merritt met at UCLA and launched into a styling

career that led them down the path of building an incredibly iconic denim brand and

then launching a fashion brand. Their dedication to being a female-led business and their brand ethos

around championing women and working mothers is nothing short of inspired. So let's jump right

into it. I am so excited. Honestly, you guys, this is so crazy. So I actually forgot because my entire life is a blur that I actually first met

you guys as stylist. Yeah. Oh yeah. But to me, you've been Emily and Merritt like designers for so long

now that I actually forgot that was how we first met. I'm so excited to have you both on. Let's just rewind because I

got so excited to see you guys. So I want to rewind for a second because I think a lot of people

look at it from the outside. Oh my God. I want to be, I want to start the grade or I want to be

Emily and Merritt or oh my God, how they do it or they're so lucky. It's okay. We know that's not how this happens. We know that

luck plays very little part in success. So I wanted to talk to you guys because I think what really

highlights yours very different to most of the people I've had on, you guys have done it as a team,

which is not easy. And to me, from the outside, it's seemingly

easy because you guys, I think, are like this old married couple slash siblings, slash best

friends, slash all the things. But I want to talk about first, you are both from Northern California, is that correct correct and you met at ucla dama street from me

please explain how all of this begins and i have a very important question that i've never asked
